Nee Soon MPs — Minister K Shanmugam, Ms Goh Hanyan, Dr Syed Harun Alhabsyi, Mr Jackson Lam, and Ms Lee Hui Ying — started their SG60 National Day bright and early with a Walkabout around Blk 925 Yishun Central 1. They greeted familiar faces and exchanged well wishes as they visited the area’s coffeeshops and neighbourhood shops.
There was a warm and celebratory mood all around. Residents were dressed in red, while their children had their faces painted with National Day colours to celebrate the nation’s 60th birthday. Nee Soon MPs also handed out flags to residents as the celebrations continued throughout the morning.

Residents, students, community partners, and volunteers gathered for the iconic Nee Soon East National Day Carnival. MP Mr Jackson Lam joined in the festivities, which included carnival rides and games, performances from different community groups, and a stunning drone show.

Residents spotted Nee Soon South MP Ms Lee Hui Ying celebrating National Day all over the neighbourhood this year. Ms Lee dropped by PCF Sparkletots to celebrate with the students, handed out flags in the neighbourhood, stopped to sing a song with Nee Soon South JustUke Strummers, and also attended the Nee Soon South National Day Dinner!

MP Dr Syed Harun Alhabsyi joined residents in singing the National Anthem and reciting the Pledge together in a poignant moment.
