Nee Soon Town Council (NSTC) is proud to bring back My Nee Soon – a series of carnivals and exhibitions showcasing the completed and upcoming developments, programmes and initiatives from all five constituencies in Nee Soon.
“We put this together for residents in Nee Soon. It is a one-stop exhibition for them to find out what infrastructural developments we have made to improve the town, what programmes are being run in the neighbourhood; while bringing the community together for some weekend family fun.” says Mr K Shanmugam, Adviser to Nee Soon GRC.
This year, we have upgraded the experience for residents to give them a more immersive and experiential experience. There are four zones for residents to explore, (1) build their own covered linkway, (2) have a go at city planning by mapping out their vision for Nee Soon in 2025 with 3D printed blocks, (3) explore and discover new landmarks within Nee Soon through an Interactive Map, and (4) put their knowledge of Nee Soon to the test with a Scavenger Hunt Mobile Game.

Residents can view artist impressions of the much anticipated Chong Pang City integrated development, the upcoming Nee Soon Link Community Club and new BTO estates such as Chencharu, Aranda Breeze, Vanda Breeze and Miltonia Breeze.
They can also keep up to date with our sustainability developments throughout the town such as the installation of EV Charging Stations, solar panels, recycling bins and initiatives like a community fridges, the Conscious Living and Sustainability Festival and the Cycle It Forward initiative that gives derelict bicycles a new lease of life.

Residents can also read up about the significant improvements in connectivity. Some of the key upgrades include: new bus services, added new bus stops for the convenience of residents and improved the traffic flow at Yishun Dam, more linkways to connect schools to next blocks. The North-South corridor will also further enhance the connectivity from Nee Soon to the city centre, reducing travel time by up to 30min. More improvements will be carried out.
We know the rising cost of living is a concern for many, and our residents are not unaffected by this. Mr K Shanmugam adds, “We are committed to furthering our support for Nee Soon residents. In addition to the Government support, we have reinforced support for Nee Soon residents, with initiatives like the Nee Soon Cares Vouchers programme.” Eligible residents can also enrol in programmes like the Food Distribution Programmes, Eldercare Diaper Programme and Project 100:50 to name a few.
This informative and entertaining exhibition was first rolled out in Nee Soon East on 18 January, followed by Chong Pang on 15 February, and will continue to rove around the other divisions in Nee Soon, offering all residents a chance to view the exhibits, enjoy the activities, games, food and entertainment that the My Nee Soon carnival has to offer. The Exhibition component will also remain at the venue for one week after the carnival.
For residents that could not join us for the Exhibitions, they will be able to view and explore the contents of the exhibition on our specially curated microsite which will be available soon, through the Nee Soon Town Council website.
